Bromance: Acrobatic male bonding on the streets of London
Daddy Daze by Phil Ossai
Daddy Daze by Phil Ossai

Richard Honey edited Daddy Daze, a heartfelt dramedy about a stay-at-home dad—out of work and out of patience—who clashes with his traditional Nigerian father while juggling baby duties and long-buried resentments. The film is a deeply personal story from a first-generation British-Nigerian perspective, exploring fatherhood, identity, and intergenerational tension with humour and emotional depth.

As editor, Richard helped shape the film’s delicate balance of comedy and vulnerability, working closely with the director to craft a tone that honours both the cultural specificity and the universal truths at its core. Despite the challenges of independent filmmaking, the film came to life through the commitment of a passionate team—and a cutting room full of heart (and dads).
